Coventry City are to bring in a new fitness coach following the departure of Andy O'Boyle to Liverpool.
The Northern Irishman had been at the club for three years after joining from Wrexham.
He is being replaced on a trial basis by Mick Rathbone who played for Birmingham, Preston and Blackburn and has been head of sports medicine at Everton.
Speaking to the CT about this, Andy Thorn said: “I worked with Mick at Everton where he was very successful and went to the Champions League, so he has a wealth of experience and he’ll be coming in for three of four weeks to take that side of things over.
“I have had a chat with him and he fancies it. He’s the fittest man I have ever seen for his age and a real character and I know he will benefit the boys.
“I think he’s looking to get back into it and I said it’s only fair that he comes in to have a look at us and get a feel for it and we’ll take it from there. But he is very much looking forward to it and can’t wait to get going and it will be really good for us.”
