Coventry City will face Oxford United in the EFL Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium after they won 3-2 in the Semi-FInal at Luton Town.

The second Semi-Final took place tonight at Kenilworth Road, Luton and saw Oxford United, the 2016 finalists, take a tenth minute lead through Phil Edwards.

Oxford had former City loanee Chris McGuire go off with a groin strain in a game which saw under-fire Coventry City manager and a man many don't want to be leading the Sky Blues out on Sunday April 2nd Russell Slade , working for Sky Sports.

In the 69th minute, Johnson got down the right and sent over a cross which deflected off a defender and looped into the net for Oxford's second goal.

Luton pulled a goal back within two minutes when Vassel scored with a shot on the turn in the semi-final of a competition whose future will be debated at the end of April by the Football League clubs.

The drama continued when an 82nd minute corner was headed on and Danny Hylton, a former Oxford player headed into the net to make it 2-2.

In thr 84th minute, Martin Johnson got the ball on the edge of the area and thumped a shot high into the net to put Oxford into the Wembley Final against the Sky Blues.
