Coventry City have announced that they will be supporting the Tsunami Appeal.

A club statement reads: "Coventry City Football Club and the Rotary Clubs of Coventry will be collecting ahead of tomorrow's game against Leeds United for victims of the Tsunami.

Over 124,000 people have already been killed by the Earthquake in the Indian Ocean, with the United Nations expecting the death-toll to top 150,000. Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India are the areas worst hit by the natural disaster.

The Rotary Clubs - in conjunction with the Football Club - will be collecting before tomorrow's game at Highfield Road, with both parties urging fans to give generously to the appeal.

In addition to the appeal, Coventry City will also have a minute's silence before kick-off against the Yorkshire side. If you would like to donate to the Tsunami appeal but are not attending the game, please contact the Disasters Emergency Committee on www.dec.org.uk or 0870 6060 900 or Unicef at www.unicef.org.uk."
