Manager Iain Dowie agreed a deal with an as yet un-named custodian who will join on loan in a couple of weeks time.
Andy Marshall is expected to play against Barnsley tomorrow after Dowie's number one choice Dimi Konstantopolous picked up a back injury during Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat at Hull City.
