Coventry City ran at a £6m loss in 2007 according to figures signed over by auditors Grant Thornton on February 25th 2008.
The latest available accounts show that the loss which includes the amortisation of players totalled £6,274,554. Staff costs totalled £8.2m whilst administrative expenses totalled £41.45m.
The profit and loss account showed that City were £29,197,600 in debt for the year of the accounts which ended on May 31st 2007.
Match receipts were £5.311,248 down from £5,391,011 in 2006 whilst the club made £2,387, 816 from commercial activities.
Had Ray Ranson not stepped in, then the club would have certainly folded today as debts to Michael MicGinnity,Geoffrey Robinson and his Craigavon Trust (£11.1m), Registered European Football Finance Limited (£6m) and Sir Derek Higgs all were due yesterday with interest mostly above bank basic rate.
A note says that most of these debts were to be waived on the successful take-over by Mr Ranson and SISU.
