Coventry City are set to give a trial to German goalkeeper Carsten Null as Boothroyd looks for cover and competition for Keiren Westwood.
Since Konstantopolous left the club, Boothroyd has been looking for a replacement reserve 'keeper and while the club are in Austria, he has offered a trial to the 34 year old Carl Zeiss Jena goal keeper Null.
Boothroyd confirmed he and the goal keeping coaches had been looking at Carsten Null saying, "We are looking at a German goalkeeper as a possible No.2 and he has come in and is helping out with the training so I can get a look at him to see if he is at a level we require."
Dutch striker Orlando Smeekes also of FC Carl Zeiss Jena is also being working with the squad this week to see if he is worth offering a contract.
