Coventry City U23's were beaten by a late goal against Charlton Athletic
Nicky Eaden fielded a young team with Reice Charles-Cook in goal in front of a bigger than usual crowd at the Ricoh Arena.
City's first real chance came in the 18th minute when Hickman played in Ponticelli who ran on only for Mitov to come out and block.
Charlton had the better of the chances before Tom Bayliss, hit the post and the South East London side continued to look the more dangerous with Charles-Cook doing well along with Jak Hickman and the excellent Jordan Thompson
In fact, it was thanks to Charles-Cook who continued to deny Karlan Ahearne-Grant, that City were able to get Jordan Shipley In for a twenty yarder which grazed the bar as it went over.
In the dying seconds, Charles-Cook denied Ahearne-Grant again to push over for a corner which was headed home by Jo Cummings to rise at the back post and give Charlton the win, much to the delight of his dad.
