Subject to any late worsening of the weather, Coventry City's home Championship match against Barnsley on Saturday is on.
City have had the undersoil heating on the pitch and have approaches to the Ricoh Arena are being cleared.
The Ricoh Arena Facilities Director Antony Mundy told the club website: "The ground staff have been working on the pitch and the undersoil heating has been switched on for the last few days so we don't expect any problems.
"We have been concentrating on clearing the main access routes with a gritting programme throughout the cold spell and we are confident that barring any significant changes in the weather conditions that the match will take place.
"We would encourage supporters to give themselves extra time for their journeys and turn up as early as possible so that everyone is here to cheer the team from the first whistle."
