Coventry City's pre-season game versus Doncaster Rovers on Friday night has been postponed.
Doncaster have had a number of injuries and were forced to call off their game last Saturday.
Rovers have issued the following statement:
"In light of the injury situation that currently surrounds the club; we have made the proposal to Coventry City to postpone Friday nights friendly at Nuneaton Town.
Following another injury sustained to a key member of the squad last night in Luke McCullough, the Sky Blues – and their manager Tony Mowbray – fully understand our need to nurture our squad through to the start of the season and have duly accepted our request.
This is again not a decision that is taken lightly by the club but only highlights the current situation and our desire to maintain as healthy a squad as possible when the season kicks off in full on August 6th away at Accrington Stanley.
We would like to place on record our thanks to our fans for their patience and to Coventry City for their cooperation on this matter; we wish them well in the forthcoming season".
