Coventry City have said this morning that they are expecting tomorrow' League Two game against Lincoln City at the Ricoh Arena to go ahead as scheduled.
City have said: "Coventry City’s home game against Lincoln City at the Ricoh Arena is set to go ahead as scheduled.
The pitch at the Ricoh Arena is playable, with undersoil heating in operation to ensure the pitch remains in good condition.
Surrounding areas of the stadium and car parks are clear, and major routes in Coventry running as normal. We’d like to thank staff at the Ricoh Arena for their hard work combatting the weather in the last few days.
We do not envisage the situation changing between now and kick-off on Saturday.
Fans travelling to the game are advised to leave extra time for their journey, and to keep checking local radio and news outlets for the latest traffic information."
Those not from Coventry may be interested to know that as usual, Coventry escaped the worst of the weather and although there was snow and blizzard like conditions yesterday and on Wednesday, that has ceased and today, there is a cold wind blowing through.
If you are going to the game, make sure you wrap up very warm indeed as snow and rain showers are forecast.
