Coventry Veterans team were beaten 17-9 by Forest Veterans this lunch-time in a five a side game at Holme Pier Point in Nottingham.
City, playing without a recognised goalkeeper started well with a early goal from Paul Seddon who then hit the post.
Forest struck back with two goals before a flick from Steve Payne levelled it at 2-2.
The home side, who included a talented 59 year old, went back in front only for Seddon to score again in the 14th minute of this twenty five minutes each way game.
Seddon completed his hat-trick in the 17th minute but that made the score 4-6 as Forest added two more to their tally in little over ninety seconds.
Forest completed the half with goals either side of a strike from Ray Rafferty to lead 8-5 at the break.
With neither side having any substitutes, the sides were the same for the second half. Forest had scored twice before the fifth minute after the restart when Paul Seddon neatly flicked past the keeper.
City were starting to tire and Forest hit four goals in four minutes before Rafferty and Seddon pulled two back in the 17th minute to make it 14-8 to Forest.
Although Yogi hit a ninth for City, the home side scored another three and ran out worthy 17-9 winners.
