Coventry City manager Steven Pressley is waiting to hear if he will be signing Toumani Diagouraga from Brentford.
The 27 year old is currently with Brentford in Florida and Steve Waggott told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “Brentford are away on a ten-day pre-season tour to America and their manager is obviously going to review the entire squad now that they have gone up a notch to the Championship.
“I have had discussions with Brentford and there will be a decision when the lad comes back. I have spoken to his agent and, obviously, if he’s involved at Championship level then the player will most likely prefer to stay at Brentford.
“If not then I think there is a great possibility that we could try to do something with Brentford and the player to try to bring him in. But he’s one of the targets on Steven’s list and he’d love to get him.”
