Coventry City have won £750 for finishing joint second in the Johnstones Paint Trophy Paint Pot Challenge.

The Johnstone’s Paint Pot Challenge saw clubs nominate 10 representatives from their playing squad and management to attempt to chip a ball from the angle of the penalty area into a giant inflatable paint pot placed on the six-yard line.

Ten points were awarded for a successful chip in to the paint pot and one point if the ball brushed the inflatable.

City along with Crewe amassed 25 points but were well behind winners Oxford United with 32 points.

The £750 is to be used for projects around the club's ground or training facility and the Sky Blues have said that the money will be used to " spruce up their Ryton training base."
