The Football Assocation has confirmed that Coventry City's Youth team, following the first team's relegation to League One, will start their FA Youth Cup campaign in the First Round Proper.
City, who won the FA Youth Cup in 1987 and appeared in two finals in the 1990's, will now enter the competition at the First Round stage instead of the Third Round that they enjoyed as a Premier League and from 2000, a Championship club.
Last season, Greg Rioch side were beaten 2-0 in the Fourth Round at Blackburn Rovers after winning at Bristol Rovers in the Third Round.
