Bury boss Lee Clark was delighted with the three points as his side beat Coventry City 3-1 at Gigg Lane on Tuesday night.
Goals from James Vaughan and Tom Pope put Bury two goals up before Stuart Beavon headed a goal for the Sky Blues in the 64th minute.
Speaking to the Press Association, Clark said: "To win another game in the position we are in is tremendous.
"We made harder work of it than we should and it became tense towards the end.
"We scored two terrific goals which were great moves and great finishes. We had some other good chances as well as played some good football.
"As the game wore on, we invited Coventry to have too many chances at out goal but I am delighted with the players' attitude and application."
