Prior to the end of last season Coventry City full back Jordan Clarke appeared to have established himself as the first choice right back, but a serious knee injury left the door open for another City Academy graduate Cyrus Christie to sieze his chance.
Christie didn't need asking twice and grabbed his opportunity and is developing well into a capable right back, unfortunately at Clake's expense.
However, as is often the way in football, Clarke, now fully recovered, has been asked to fill in at the vacant left back position, not his favourite position, but he is so keen to play, he will play anywhere he is asked to play.
It was an injury to Clake that gave Christie his chance to establish himself in Andy Thorn's side, now Clarke has the opportunity to re-establish himself in the side because of injuries and absences to other players.
James McPake is no longer at the club and Richard Wood is injured.
