Jonson Clarke-Harris said that he feels like he is at home after returning to Coventry City.
The striker from Leicester was released by City's Academy six years ago but was brought back by Mark Robins on loan from Rotherham United with a view to a permanent deal.
“I feel like I am home. It is a really good feeling,” Clarke-Harris said to City's Press Office.
“I have had to take the long route round to becoming a Coventry City player, but this is where I should have been in the first place and I am looking forward to cracking on and hopefully getting promotion.
“It was very frustrating to be released as a teenager, but things happen for a reason. I can show everybody now why it was the wrong decision to let me go.
“I have scored against Coventry a few times since I have been gone. I gave the fans a bit of stick and they gave me a bit of stick”, he said with a laugh. “That’s football! This time round I will be scoring for Coventry and showing everybody what I can do.
“I am technically better than I was. I have learned the game a lot more. I am an all round better player now than what I was.
“I hope the fans forgive and forget for the past. I’ll just have to see what happens. The games are coming thick and fast so there will be some rotation in the squad. I am just happy to be back.”
