Jonson Clarke-Harris, who was released by Coventry City at the end of the season, has signed a two year deal with Peterborough.
The Leicester born forward had showed promise when playing for the under 18's and became Coventry City's youngest ever player when he played in the Carling Cup defeat at Morecambe in 2010 when he was just 16 years old.
The Sky Blues manager Andy Thorn reluctantly released Clarke-Harris after he scored fourteen league goals for the U18's plus six in pre-season along with Courtney Richards as he did not have enough places in his squad for them both at the time.
Following his release, Clarke-Harris had trials with Stoke City, Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers, scoring in a Blackburn reserves game, but Darren Ferguson has offered the big striker another chance to prove himself both on and off the field.
Clarke-Harris joined Posh earlier in the month with their chairman Darragh MacAnthony confirming they had signed an un-named 18 year old.
MacAnthony said: “It’s a young gem with bundles of potential in years to come. He is a prolific goal scorer, but one for the future, although that could change if he impresses out in Portugal on training camp.
“There will be no pressure on the lad though as he is only 18 and will be given time.”
