Speaking to the Sunday Mercury, Clingan who is out for six weeks with a toe, said: "I don't think my form has been superb or anything. "I am still finding my feet to be honest and I know that there is a lot more to come from me and that I can play a lot better than I have been. But it is nice to chip in with a few goals at important times.
"I want the team to be doing well while I am out because then I can come back to a dressing room full of confidence."
