Norwich City midfielder Sammy Clingan is expected to join Coventry City for a fee in the region of £650,000.
The deal to bring Clingan to Coventry looked to be dead in the water after his agent got involved but Clingan appears to have overcome this problem and the deal which has been negotiated between the two clubs could be sorted out this week.
Clingan has been reported as being keen to come to Coventry and is expected to snub late interest from Leicester City.
The 25 year old Belfast born midfielder has played for Chesterfield (30 +7 apps), Nottingham Forest (89+7) before joining Norwich City where he played 43 times last season scoring six goals.
Leroy Lita has also been linked to a move to City according to various rumours.
