Former Coventry City captain Sammy Clingan is out of Northern Ireland's friendly with Cyprus on Wednesday night.

The midfielder now at Kilmarnock has been forced to withdraw due to a knee injury which he picked up in the first half of Kilmarnock's defeat to St Mirren on Saturday.

Uncapped Paul Paton of Dundee United has been called up as his replacement.
