Former Coventry City midfielder Sammy Clingan has been told that his contract at Doncaster Rovers is not being renewed.
Clingan, had been without a club, after his contract at City expired on July 1st. He joined Doncaster on a short term deal in October but struggled to get into the team and had to come off the bench to play against the Sky Blues.
Speaking to the Doncaster Free Press, Rovers boss Dean Saunders said: "We're not re-signing Sammy Clingan. "I've only got so many salaries I can use and I've just decided we're going to go down a different route with that one.
"At the moment I just see my priorities in different places."
