Coventry City have released the followng press statement:
"Coventry City can dismiss speculation in the national press regarding an alleged disagreement between manager Micky Adams and Chairman Mike McGinnity. After helping the Sky Blues to avoid relegation following his arrival at Highfield Road in January, Adams has met with Mr McGinnity to discuss what the future holds and he revealed that both are looking to take the Club forward.
Adams stated: "I have not had any crossed words with the Chairman and I have thoroughly enjoyed my short time at Coventry City. "I'm certainly not looking to move to another football club as some reports have suggested. "We achieved our aim of avoiding relegation and now is the time to look ahead and build a side that is capable of competing in this division.
"I do not constitute narrowly avoiding relegation as a success for a club of this stature and we will have to improve our playing squad ahead of next season if we are to stand a realistic chance of finishing in a higher position.
"I have met with the Chairman to discuss financial matters and I am currently making my decisions on which of our out-of-contract players we will be looking to secure for next season. "We will then have a better idea of how the squad looks and can hopefully begin to recruit new signings."
Chief Executive Graham Hover has cleared up any confusion regarding Adams' contract with Coventry City. The Manager agreed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Sky Blues which will expire at the end of the 2006/2007 season.
Said Graham: "The contract is with Micky's lawyers who are currently resolving a small query with regard to specific wording. "All of the contractual and financial terms are in place. The contract is not signed yet but this is quite common in football until lawyers give their approval.
"As far as the Club is concerned, the agreement between Coventry City and Micky Adams is legally binding."
