Coventry City new forward Cody McDonald says that he is looking forward to getting more game time.
The signing from Norwich City played his first game of the season for any time on Saturday when he played 75 minute for the Sky Blues in their 2-0 win against Derby County.
Having got back into the action, McDonald says that he wants more of it and told Sky Blue Player: "I was obviously really pleased to get the start because I want games to get my match sharpness back because I've not played competitive football for four months.
"I want to make the most of this opportunity that's been given to me because it's a fantastic club with fantastic fans and a fantastic stadium so obviously I want to do well here.
"I wasn't that pleased with my first half performance but I thought I did better in the second half and it will take a little bit of time for partnerships to develop but I thought Lukas was fantastic upfront and I'm looking forward to playing with him.
"I thought the result was thoroughly deserved and the lads were fantastic so it's a good day to make your debut. We just need to carry this into the next game now."
