Coventry City forward Cody McDonald says he wants a run of games until the end of the season.
McDonald came on at Watford and had two good chances to win the game for City and speaking to Sky Blue Player, he said: "As everyone knows, it has been a little bit difficult for me this season with it being stop, start and the injuries.
"But whether it is starting games or coming on, I am ready to do my bit for the side and I feel good at the moment so hopefully I can push on a bit now.
"Hopefully I can get a nice run of games from now until the end of the season and push on from there. There is good competition up front as well which is getting the best out of everyone at the moment.
"I am not disappointed that I am playing behind them two (Alex Nimely and Clive Platt) as having been out for so long, it's been difficult for me to challenge for a place.
"Like I say though, the lads have been brilliant and the more of a headache we can give the gaffer, the better.
McDonald is expected to be in the squad for Wednesday’s trip to Cardiff City after having to go on the bench at Watford after picking up a facial injury against Birmingham City.
He said: "I think it was a bit more precautionary than anything, with the injury this week which is sensible as I have had a bit of treatment this season and it is better to be safe in those situations.
"I wouldn't of been able to train anyways in the earlier part of the week because of my head injury against Birmingham and my eye.
"By the end of the week though, I was training and everything was fine. Now, it feels fine as well and feel fit so I should be able to give the manager something to think about on Wednesday."
