Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray spoke about the impact of Joe Cole at the Sky Blues during today's press conference.
Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph: "Joe Cole has had a big impact, not just on the field. He gees up the young lads and he’s here because of his football talent.
"He’s like a kid in the streets, just wanting to play with his mates and I think that’s why he’s found himself here. It’s a step down in terms of the level of football but he just wants to enjoy it.
"Ultimately, I think he wants to go down the coaching line. He has a licence to have an input at any Under-18/21 game if he wants. But he has to get the balance right between training and playing and rest.
"I think his game time has already improved. Maybe we didn’t manage his body as well when he first came.
"He’s been on a programme to build him up and he can train pretty much every day now and play on a Saturday.”
