Admist, rumours of players not wanting to cup-tie themselves, City have Guilly Beuzelin suspended, Jay Tabb, Danny Fox both ill with Michael Mifsud and Elliott Ward carrying injuries.
"We are missing seven players through injury and suspension for the game," said Chris Coleman to the CT.
"It is going to be a tough game for us and it is one we want to win as we want to be in the hat for the next round."
Explaining his injury crisis, Coleman added: "Danny Fox and Jay Tabb have been ill with the flu bug that has been going round - they have had it particularly bad,so we will probably be without them.
"Tabbsy's glands are still up and Foxy has not eaten properly for four or five days. They might be in the squad or on the bench but they won't be starting.
"Michael Mifsud has got a badly bruised foot. He had it x-rayed for a third time and thankfully there is nothing broken but it is highly likely he will not be involved.
"Beuzy is suspended after picking up five bookings which is a shame as he was a lot better against Sheffield after have a rest with his knee injury and Elliott Ward's knee has not calmed down since the weekend, so all in all, we will be without seven very important players."
Adam Walker, who made his debut against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday plus youngsters Jordan Clarke and Curtis Wynter could all feature in the game.
About their possible inclusion in the starting line up, Coleman said:" You have to start somewhere and if I do play one of the young ones we will do a lot of work with them and make sure they are looked after.
"I'm sure, as they have shown when they have trained with us, they will do well. But training is training - it's not the same as a first team game on a Saturday so we will see.
"I prefer to tell them nearer the time otherwise they won't get any sleep. "I will have them involved with us so they can see our homework and preparation so they know what to expect and what's required."
