Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has hit out at the Sheffield Wednesday fans who taunted Richard Wood during the 1-1 draw at the Ricoh Arena yesterday.
Wood, who had got himself out of Sheffield Wednesday following his agent Imre Varadi making wage demands that were deemed excessive after rejecting an initial deal from the Hillsborough based club and he was allowed to join the Sky Blues on loan before a permanent deal was done back in Janaury.
Not surprisingly, the Wednesday fans at yesterday's game, gave Wood some stick but Chris Coleman is quoted in the News Of The World as saying: "I don't know why they booed him. He was there for years and did a good job for them. There's nothing wrong with a player wanting to better themselves."
