Coventry City manager Chris Coleman is looking at the long term picture for the Sky Blues.
"When I came here the Chairman said it would take four years before we knew whether we'd been successful," said Coleman to the CT.
"I've talked to Tony Pullis who has done a fantastic job at Stoke City and he told me that it took him three years to get things right, to get rid of the players he didn't want out of the club and bring in the players he did want.
"I've been here just over 18 months now and I see a lot of good signs. We're closer to where we want to be, although we've got a smaller squad than last year, we've got more quality but even if we had lost the first two games, I'd be looking at the bigger picture.
"At the start of the season, we said to the players that we have got to get together as a group, back each other up, have more unity than we did last year otherwise we'd never go anywhere.
"And I think we've done that. We're a really tight group, there's definitely a sense of togetherness in the dressing room - I am happy that the club is in a good position and we can kick on from here."
