Coleman On City Win

New Coventry City manager Chris Coleman was pleased with the victory over local rivals Leicester City this afternoon at the Ricoh Arena.

"It's been a tough few weeks for everyone at the Club and I am delighted that we managed to get the win today," said the Welshman to the club website.

"I think they showed a real battling quality from the first minute to the last and even when we were under pressure, we held firm and didn't concede.

"I thought Andy Marshall made a world-class save at the end of the match and that really protected our clean sheet for us.

On the penalty which put Coventry ahead, Coleman admitted not to seeing the incident and said: "When it was given, I turned to Keano (Steve Kean) and asked what it was for. I've since found out it was for a pull on Besty's shirt but it's hard to say whether we were fortunate or not as I haven't seen the DVD.

"We'll take the decision though. Football throws up surprises and there's plenty of times when the decision won't go for us."
