Coleman On Sky Blues Defeat

Coventry City boss Chris Coleman described the 3-0 defeat by Bristol City as "a bad day at the office".

"Our preparation wasn't great because we only trained with six or seven players this week," said Chris Coleman to the club website.

"In the first ten minutes Freddy got a groin strain and then they scored the first goal where Keiren Westwood got smashed. "Nowadays you can't touch keepers but the goal was given, we then should have had a penalty and the referee didn't give it and every decision went against us in the first half.

"This was a bad day for us. I don't think Bristol City were three goals better than us, we made some good chances but it just wasn't going to be today.
We'll go away, lick our wounds and we can't feel sorry for ourselves against Newcastle on Tuesday."

"The thing is I'll be counting numbers for that. Freddy will be out, Keiren has concussion and has dislocated his thumb but I'll put out the best team I can and we'll give it our best shot."
