The winger watched with his father City lose 3-2 to Watford on Saturday and as mentioned on this site yesterday, a possible a season long loan has been muted.
"Young Jordan was at the game on crutches and I would love to have him back next season," said Chris Coleman to the CT. "Whether or not we get him back, I don't know.
"We need another wide man because we missed natural width prior to Jordan and David Bell coming.
"Since they have gone we have struggled badly with shape and people providing the strikers with opportunities in certain games, so we do need another natural winger.
"He is well thought of up there and if Sunderland stay in the Premier League we will have a better chance of doing something with Jordan on loan.
"Saying that, I know Sunderland boss Ricky Sbragia thinks a lot of him."
