WHO ARE THEY?
Burnley were a new club formed in 1881 from the defunct Burnley Rovers Rugby Club. In May 1882 at a meeting in the Bulls Head pub ,they dropped the rugby and the name Rovers and moved into Turf Moor,their home ever since.

Burnley entered the Football League in 1888,losing their first game 5-2 at Preston.. Twice The Clarets have won the top flight. They have also won Division 2 twice as well as Division 3 and 4. In 1920/21 they went a record thirty matches without defeat.

The club was close to extinction in the late 1980's but Burnley battled back and this is their third season in the Championship.

Burnley,winners of the 1914 FA Cup, have also won the Anglo Scottish Cup.

Their current manager is Steve Cotterill who was appointed in June 2004.

LAST MATCH
City drew 0-0 at home to Stoke City 1-1 whilst Burnley drew 1-1 at Ipswich.

This is the 39th game between the two sides. City have won on only nine occasions with ten draws. City won the corresponding fixture last season 1-0 with Dele Adebola scoring against his former club in the 53rd minute .

City are twelth in the table with Burnley sixth.

Out are David McNamee,Stuart Giddings and Don Hutchison. All the players bar the suspended Marcus Hall who featured in the draw with Stoke should play. Kevin Kyle is available for selection after a one match ban.

Burnley are exepected to field the same team which drew at Ipswich.

The currently appointed referee is M.Thorpe. His assistants are K.G. James and P.J.Keane with the Fourth Official being S.G.Cooke.

Mr Thorpe's last game in charge at Arena saw City beat Luton 1-0 last season.

HOW TO GET THERE
By car: Leave the M6 at junction 3. Take the A444 towards the City centre and at the first island go left and you will see the Ricoh Arena on your right.

By rail: For all train information call National Rail Enquiries on: 08457 48 49 50, but be warned Coventry station is a £10+ taxi ride away. Take the 27 bus from the train station get off at Pool Meadow bus station and catch the 4 or 5 service. Or go out of doors and over the road by Sainsburys and get the 20, getting off the by Tescos.

Parking: Car parking is extremely restricted around the ground. Supporters are advised that there is only park and ride site to the south of the city at the Jaguar car plant.

AWAY SUPPORTERS PARKING
Car parking around the Ricoh Arena is strictly limited.

However, there is a designated away supporters car park, situated around five minutes walk away from the ground. The car park is secure and cost is £5 - but spaces are limited to just 100.

Directions: M6 to junction 3. Take 3rd exit if coming from north or 1st exit if travelling from the south. At the 2nd roundabout, take the 2nd exit, under the railway bridge, through the first set of traffic lights, and pass the pedestrian lights. At the next set of lights, turn right into Blackburn Road and the car park is at the top of the road.

SAT NAV
Some car satellite navigation systems have not been updated to show Coventry City FC as playing at the Ricoh Arena. Those visiting the ground for the first time are advised to enter "Phoenix Way" and the post code "CV6 6GE" instead into their Sat Nav's.
