Confidence Levels Have Risen - Murphy

Coventry City keeper Joe Murphy feels that City’s confidence levels have risen now they are out of the bottom three.

Speaking to the CT’s Andy Turner, Murphy said: “Being out of the bottom three has given us even more confidence because we’re one of the form sides in the division, and it’s come just at the right time.

“This is the business end of the season and that’s when you want to be putting in a decent bit of form.

“We need to look above us.

"No matter what Portsmouth or Doncaster do, we needed to look at fourth, fifth and sixth from bottom.

"Forest won, Millwall have been dragged back into it but we have got to concentrate on ourselves.

“They would have seen at the end of their game that we had won when they probably never fancied us to win at Hull.

"It’s not nice to see results like that when you are down there but hopefully we have turned a corner.

“This weekend is going to be tough, playing Saturday/Monday, so we need to keep our bodies fresh. Our home form has been very good since Christmas so hopefully if we can start the weekend with a home win and then go to Bristol for another massive game.

“There is a lot of pressure on the games but we know it is in our own hands.

"We need to win games to stay in the division. We have got a good run in and we fancy ourselves to get results.”
