Conor Thomas, the Academy player whose loan move to Liverpool last January sparked so much unrest among fans and split to board leading to resignations, has said he is glad to be back in Coventry.
Thomas played half the pre-season friendly game at Nuneaton last Saturday and is now looking forward to being picked for first team action once the season gets underway.
The 17 year old midfielder said he had enjoyed his short time at Liverpool, but he is more than happy to be back home again and is now continuing with learning his trade in Sky Blue.
Thomas has been with the Coventry City Academy since he was eight years old and has spoken publicly for the first time since his ill fated move to Liverpool.
He said the CT: “It feels great to be back, to see all the lads and the familiar faces again. It was a good experience and I am glad I did it but I am much happier now I am back."
“I am enjoying my football again and I just think it was better for me to be here while I am young and hopefully get some first-team appearances under my belt here in the future and kick on from there.”
