Consortium May Get Gym

The consortium led by Gary Hopkins may be offered charge of the gym at the Arena if their takeover goes ahead. The gym has lost £400,000 since it opened but is still recruiting new members who use state of the art facilities and can jog around the hallowed turf of City's home ground.

Currently, the gym is owned on a twenty year deal by Coventry Sports Trust.

The Trust however,are looking to get out of this after being bailed out by an emergency grant of £455,000 and a loan of £100k by the City Council and may offer the gym to the consortium if they are successful.
