Copsewood Through In Coventry Charity Cup

Coventry Copsewood are into the Quarter=Finals of the Coventry Charity Football Cup.

The Second Round of the competition, sponsored by the Premier Group and which will have its final at the Ricoh Arena on Wednesday April 23rd, saw Kev Kingham and Darren Dickson's Copsewood side win 2-1 at Alvis thanks to goals from Danny Fraser and Michael Bowden.

Coventry Alliance side Woodlands WMC produced a shock beating Midland Combination Division 2 side Coventry United 2-1 and another team from the Midland Combination Division 2 in FC Stratford were beaten 6-0 by long established Coventry Aliiance side Jet Blades.

The Bell/AEI Rugby won 7-0 at Hawkesmill Sports, Highway Coundon Court beat Coventry Colliery 4-2 and Folly Lane won 3-2 at Brinklow after extra time to book their places in the Quarter-Finals.
