Coventry City Reserve Team Boss Alan Cork has offered his support for a Midland Reserve League, if FL clubs are to be banished from the FA Premier Reserve League.

The former Wimbledon and Millwall striker told the CET: "Nothing is certain yet but we are waiting to see of the Football League can come up with something to cater for us and the other teams excluded.

"Obviously we don't want to be travelling all the way to Sunderland, Preston and Burnley on a Tuesday night so we will have to have a think about what we are going to do - but we I don't think we will be playing Premier League clubs next year.

"But when we have got so many Midlands clubs where we could play Derby, Leicester, Stoke, Notts County, Forest, West Brom and Birmingham, we should be able to get enough games, so we will have to see."
