"I played a couple of games at centre-half in pre-season and Chelsea said I might as well see how I get on there, so I played a few times at centre-half at Southampton last year and then played right-back and in the middle," said Cork to the CT.
"I went to Watford on loan and played in the middle and then came here and have played right wing and in the middle. But I prefer central midfield.
"I have enjoyed going out on loan because my chances have obviously been limited at Chelsea and it has been hard for me to break in there, so it has been good for me to get games at a good standard of football and I have got a lot out of it.
"I have played nearly all the games in the last two seasons and it is really good for me to be playing in a proper league rather than the reserves."
