Hawkins has already proven what he can do in the Republic Of Ireland League when he played for Shelbourne, Bohemians and St Pats but the 30 year old who many City supporters feel was not given a fair crack of the whip at Coventry, is reportedly keen to stay in England.
Cork City boss Alan Matthews told the Irish Sun: "We would be interested if he decides to come home. I'm aware he's been released but he is looking at his options in England."
