Bristol City manager Steven Cotterill has praised the Coventry City supporters at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday who joined in with a minute's applause for a Bristol City supporter Mark Saunders who died of cancer.
A minute's applause was held in the 54th minute and speaking about this, Cotterill is quoted as saying: "It was absolutely fantastic and summed up all the things that are good about English football.
"This was a proper football day and the reaction of the fans to the minute's applause epitomised what our game is all about. Our fans know about what happened, but for the Coventry fans to join in as well was outstanding. I cannot praise them highly enough.
"It showed what good people are all about in this game of ours."
