Kevin Keegan could be making a shock return to Coventry City.

With the Sky Blues rumour mill working over time, rumours abound that if Ray Ranson was to take over the Sky Blues, his first step would be to bring in Kevin Keegan as the new manager.

Keegan was rejected by City as a youngster and made his name at Liverpool,Hamburg,Southampton and Newcastle as a player.

His managerial career saw him at Newcastle.Fulham and he had the England job until he resigned after a 1-0 defeat against Germany in October 2000.

The Armthorpe,Doncaster born man was made manager of Manchester City in May 2001 but was replaced by former Sky Blue Stuart Pearce in March 2005.

He has been out of football since then.
