Coventry City Council leader George Duggins has said that the City Council want a successful football club in the city.
Councillor Duggins told the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert: “The truth of the matter is that we want Coventry City to open up discussions with Wasps to ensure the Academy can continue there.
“I believe Wasps think that’s possible. I would advocate discussions between the two of them.
“As a council, we want a successful football club. The way that is done these day, particularly in the lower leagues, is through a successful Academy programme.”
