Coventry City are maintaining their stance that the court case involving Otium Entertainment Group which pays the Coventry City staff wages amongst others things, Sky Blue Sports & Leisure and the Arvo Master Trust which has a debenture out on the club and gets a cut of things like club website hits, against Coventry City Council and Wasps is nothing to do with them.
A spokesman for the club last night said to the Coventry Telegraph: "“Coventry City Football Club (CCFC) is aware of media speculation today regarding the deadline to appeal in the court case involving the owners of the club SISU, Wasps Rugby Club and Coventry City Council.
"CCFC is not involved in the court case, but contacted the club owners this afternoon regarding this, who have since informed us that the deadline to appeal the decision at the Supreme Court is 28 days from the date of the Order.
"We have yet to be made aware whether the owners have decided to appeal the judgement at the Supreme Court.”
The Supreme Court have confirmed to the Coventry Telegraph that "a 28 day time limit to appeal that decision began on the day the case was sealed by court staff, and not the date of the official judgement.
The case was sealed on October 31, the Court of Appeal has confirmed today (November 20), making the deadline for a submission to the Supreme Court November 27th.
No appeal has yet been received by the Supreme Court."
