Cov City Girls were beaten 2-1 by Solihull in a West Midlands Regional League Division One South fixture at Sphinx Drive.
Both sides had chances early on but in the 33rd minute, Solihull had the lead when a corner went in directly, despite claims for a foul on the keeper which were ignored by the referee.
Cov had long spells of possession in the second half and struck the woodwork and drew level in the 85th minute.
However, two minutes later, Solihull were awarded a penalty and they scored to take all three points.
Cov City Girls are at home to Folly Lane on Wednesday night at 7.15pm.
