The news was announced last Friday at the Charity Cup's 6th Annual Autumn Ball which raised in excess of £3,000 for local charities.
Charity Cup Chairman Richard Aston said "we are indebted to The Premier Group, especially Managing Director Denis Meagher and John Campton, for their loyalty and support of the competition. The people who will benefit are the charities that we support, several of which were at the Ball on Friday. We wish The Premier Group all of our best wishes in the making of the Olympic Torch".
This excellent news for the Charity Cup follows a couple of difficult and sad weeks in which the deaths of long-serving committee man Les Williams, 90, a member of the Charity Cup Committee for over 50 years, and ex-Chairman Jimmy James, 91, were announced.
