In an extraordinary row between Wrexham and Coventry City, Wrexham owner Geoff Moss has called Coventry City 'bandits'
The row centres around the 16 year old Wales under 16 striker Will Roberts, who joined the Coventry City Academy from Wrexham's school of excellence.
The daily Post has reported that Coventry City refused to make an 'up front' payment to Wrexham for the player, but opted to pay a series of instalments over a period of time.
Moss said, "Although I asked their chairman to help us out, they have refused to make an up-front payment."
"Two other boys, Leon Newell and Rob Parry, who also played in the Victory Shield, have joined Birmingham City and Wolves respectively and both clubs have made discretionary up-front payments which will help in funding the cost of the school of excellence."
Moss revealed he had written to Coventry City chairman Ray Ranson suggesting, "You should be ashamed of yourselves because we have had the boy trained by us for years and you pay no up-front compensation to a poor club like us. Bandits!"
