Responding to the speculation last week that they were interested in signing Jimmy Bullard from Hull and Cody McDonald from Norwich, Coventry City have moved quickly to deny the reports.
It had been widely reported that Bullard, who was on loan at Ipswich for the latter part of last season, would be allowed to leave Hull City for free despite having two years left on his contract. The rumour was that along with Coventry City, Ipswich and QPR are also keen of signing the midfielder.
A different source claimed that Andy Thorn had made a £275,000 offer for McDonald, who spent last season on loan at Gillingham where he scored 26 goals, with a sell on clause that amounted to 50%, but Coventry City have said they are not interested in either payer.
Coventry City are waiting to hear if striker Marlon King, midfielder Aron Gunnarsson and goal keeper Kieren Westwood will agree to their offered new deals before Thorn looks to sign replacements.
