Coventry Face Wigan For First Time At The Ricoh

Saturday will see Wigan Athletic’s first ever to the Ricoh Arena and their third visit for a Coventry City home league fixture.

Wigan last visited Highfield Road on February 23^rd 2005 and won 2-1 and drew 1-1 on September 27^th 2003. They also drew 1-1 at Highfield Road in an FA Cup tie in January 1991 with City winning the replay at Springfield Park 1-0.

Wigan’s last visit in 2005 saw Gary Teale put the Latics ahead in the eighth minute. Gary McSheffrey equalised with a 20^th minute penalty but Nathan Ellington gave Wigan the win in the 67^th minute.
