Coventry give trial to Danish goalkeeper

Coventry City are to give a trial to Danish international goal keeper Kevin Stur Ellegaard and he will start  in goal at tonoghts pre season friendly game against Nuneaton.

With Ellegaard in goal and Michael Quirke named as substitute and no mention of Keiren Westwood on the team sheet, questions will be asked if there is any truth in the speculation surrounding the interest in the Irish international goal keeper and a move to Celtic.

Ellegaard is 27 and a free agent afer failing to reach an agreement with his previous club Randers FC of the Danish Superliga. He was born in Copenhagen and is 6' 6" tall

He spent some time at Manchester City from 2002 to 2004 and on loan at Blackpool.

Ellegaard has reperesented his country at all levels from under16's to under 21s a total of 56 times. Ellegaard was called up as the Danish third choice goalkeeper when Jesper Christiamsen was out injured and again inn August 2008, Ellegaard was called up for the national team again, due to another injury to Jesper Christiansen, but he did not play.
